A BILL
To enact section 2907.12 of the Revised Code to make
engaging in an act of sexual bestiality a criminal
offense.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 2907.12 of the Revised Code be
enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 2907.12. (A) No person shall knowingly engage in an act
of sexual bestiality.
(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of engaging in an
act of sexual bestiality. Engaging in an act of sexual bestiality
is a misdemeanor of the first degree or, if the offender
previously has been convicted of a violation of this section, a
felony of the fifth degree.
(C) As used in this section, "sexual bestiality" means any
conduct of a sexual nature between a human and an animal that
consists of the insertion, however slight, of the genitals of a
human into the vaginal, anal, or oral opening of the animal or the
insertion, however slight, of the genitals of an animal into the
vaginal, anal, or oral opening of the human, for the purpose of
arousing or gratifying the sexual desires of the human.
